0:05
epoque took to his social media account
0:08
few hours ago to give reason why he's
0:10
speaking against the leader of the
0:11
indigenous people of biafra mazi nami
0:14
kanu and current man or the eco youths
0:16
are agitating for the declaration of
0:17
biafra republic
0:19
joe ekokwe said his life and those not
0:21
in support of the nambi kanu-led
0:23
movement for the actualization of biafra
0:25
land are constantly being threatened
0:28
nami kanu is currently under the custody
0:30
of the department of state services dss
0:33
for alleged reasonable charges after he
0:35
was recently picked in a controversial
0:36
manner in kenya and brought to nigeria
0:38
secretly by the nigeria security
0:40
operatives
0:42
the re-arrest of nami kanu has triggered
0:44
more unrest in the southeastern part of
0:46
nigeria of whom are mainly igbos
0:48
demanding for the unconditional release
0:50
of mazi namdi kanu and the declaration
0:52
of biafra republic
0:54
the igbo youths both traders and
0:56
non-traders declared every monday of the
0:58
week as a sit-at-home day as a form of
1:00
protest to make the federal government
1:02
led by president muhammadu buhari meet
1:04
their demands
1:06
the city at home have been well complied
1:07
since its commencement two mondays ago
1:10
joe ekokwe said the way in manor nambi
1:13
kanu and his supporters are going about
1:14
the agitation they are building a
1:16
parallel force of war between the igbos
1:19
who believed in nigeria and the igbos of
1:21
biafra race
1:22
excerpts of joe ikokui's statement is
1:24
presented thus
1:26
open letter to the ig of police
1:28
commander irt igbo governors senators
1:31
ministers house of assembly
1:34
members other leaders and stakeholders
1:36
in igboland
1:37
a mother chicken says she is crying out
1:39
to the world that a kite stole her chick
1:41
not because she can do anything to
1:43
retrieve the stolen sibling but to let
1:44
the world to hear her voice
1:47
i'm sure most of us would have seen the
1:48
continuous threat to my life and the
1:50
life of those of us who do not agree
1:52
with the philosophy of ipob and esn
1:54
bandits on biafra agitation via armed
1:56
struggle
1:58
today they are getting bolder
1:59
threatening bullying killing destroying
2:02
and decimating the economy of igboland
2:05
today the bandits and igboland say they
2:07
have banned me from coming to igboland
2:09
the latest threat is that i should
2:10
prepare to die
2:12
this is unacceptable in the 21st century
2:15
blind people should not lead people with
2:17
eyes
2:18
we cannot take this anymore
2:20
chifa
2:21
struggled for biafra with wisdom and
2:23
decency
2:24
he did not carry arms he did not harass
2:27
or abuse abuse anybody he was not
2:29
confrontational he did not kill anybody
2:32
he was not calling names
2:34
picture shows joe joey pokwey
2:36
2:39
he was tactically and diligently doing
2:41
his thing without jeopardizing the
2:42
businesses of his people
2:44
he never challenged the police and
2:46
neither did he abuse them
2:48
he did not attack the police formations
2:50
or kill any police officer
2:52
chief of zurich is still alive today and
2:54
i do hear him speak and he always speak
2:56
with grace and honor he did not hurt
2:59
anybody
3:00
today nambi kanye was in the saddle and
3:02
hell has been let loose threats
3:04
everywhere
3:05
confusion everywhere deaths and
3:07
destruction everywhere
3:09
can this continue
3:10
can we allow this vacuum to continue
3:13
can this brigandage and banditry
3:14
continue
3:16
why are governors not speaking
3:18
why are eco intelligentsia not speaking
3:20
out
3:21
what are the bishops the university
3:23
eggheads
3:25
what about the captains of industries
3:26
april business magnates decent igbo in
3:29
diaspora and not the economic refugees
3:32
who stay abroad and foment troubles here
3:34
i can go on and on
3:36
i still believe that iqbo leaders
3:38
working with security agencies in
3:40
nigeria can do something to restore
3:42
sanity and equal and
3:44
igoland is now what thomas hobbes call
3:46
the state of nature where life is
3:47
brutish nasty and short
3:50
but nobody has a monopoly of violence
3:52
nobody can say he or she in the best god
3:54
ever created with a final bus stop in
3:57
igboland
3:58
in an umbra state a friend told me how
4:00
hip bob and esn destroyed all street
4:02
lights leading to his home because they
4:04
said that he is using the lights to
4:05
monitor them
4:07
i'm told that in navy some of our people
4:09
were seen clapping for the bandits
4:10
destroying nawy area command an
4:13
inspector of police was killed in the
4:15
attack
4:16
this is a shame
4:18
may we not be compelled to defend
4:19
ourselves or create a parallel counter
4:21
force
4:22
it will now be a struggle between igbo
4:24
nigerians and biafran igbo may we not
4:27
get to this but know that we are getting
4:28
close
4:30
we cannot allow blind people to lead us
4:32
into a pit
4:33
we cannot allow this threat to continue
4:35
we cannot stand this brigandage any
4:37
longer those who have ears let them hear
4:40
i know very well force will always
4:42
respect force in the fullness of time
4:45
kindly support our vision of building a
4:47
community of one million penn soldiers
4:49
whose successes will be judged based on
4:51
positive development in the society
